Ordem dos Pastores Batistas Clássicos do Brasil

A formal process for pastors who share our classic Baptist convictions and desire fellowship within the order.

Joining the Order

The OPBCB welcomes pastors who are Christian men converted to Christ, called to serve Him, and who hold to classic Baptist doctrine grounded entirely on the Bible. Membership is extended to those baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and who affirm the order's foundational manifesto.

The request process is formal. Interested pastors should contact the order directly to begin. The organization was established on May 26, 2012, at Igreja Batista Boas Novas do Rodoanel in Carapicuíba, São Paulo, and has since gathered pastors from across Brazil for communion, mutual encouragement, and the preservation of biblical Baptist distinctives.

Membership in the OPBCB begins with a pastor's personal conviction of divine calling. The order seeks men who have been genuinely converted to Christ and who demonstrate a sustained commitment to pastoral ministry. This calling is not merely professional but spiritual, rooted in a life of faithful service and devotion to the Scriptures. Prospective members are expected to show evidence of this calling through their local church ministry and personal character. The process emphasizes careful examination of each candidate's spiritual life and pastoral practice, ensuring that those who join share a common understanding of what it means to serve Christ as a shepherd of His flock. This foundation of shared calling unites the brotherhood.

Doctrinal alignment stands at the heart of membership requirements. The OPBCB holds firmly to classic Baptist convictions, including the authority of Scripture as the sole rule of faith and practice. Baptism by immersion of believers who have professed faith in Christ is a non-negotiable prerequisite, administered in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Candidates must affirm the order's foundational manifesto, which articulates these historic Baptist principles. This doctrinal unity does not stifle individuality but provides a clear framework within which pastors can minister with confidence, knowing their brothers share the same biblical commitments and theological convictions.

The OPBCB was established to foster fellowship and mutual support among like-minded Baptist pastors. Since its founding, the order has gathered ministers from across Brazil who share a commitment to conservative Baptist doctrine and pastoral ministry. The fellowship provides encouragement, accountability, and a network of brotherhood for pastors who often labor in challenging contexts. Members benefit from shared resources, prayer support, and the collective wisdom of experienced ministers. This community exists not as a denomination but as an order of pastors united by common convictions, working together to strengthen local churches and advance the gospel throughout their nation and beyond.

What We Believe

Biblical Foundation

Our faith is entirely founded on the Bible as the Word of God — sufficient, inerrant, and authoritative for all matters of faith and practice.

Classic Baptist Conviction

We are classic Baptists by legitimate conviction, not by mere tradition. We hold to the historic distinctives that have marked Baptists from their origins.

Fellowship & Communion

The order exists to unite pastors of like mind for fellowship, mutual support, and organized cooperation in the work of the gospel.
